LUMINOUS POLLUTION   

The luminous  pollution is the typical problem for the astronomical observatories, so they must be located outside cities in order to observe the sky.                                       

The possibility of  studying the sky with electrical equipments  (like the FOAM13 Observatory) removes this problem, but everyone should be able to enjoy  a starry sky from the city, without any instruments but only with your own eyes......

There is a big problem of energy consumption that is not justifiable and that involves everyone. So a by the law (LR17/00) established in March 2000, encourage the Administration to use cheaper lighting apparatus  (you can consume as much  as  the 50% less to have the same lighting) and more respectful of starry sky.

The town council of Tradate

The town council of Tradate adapts itself to new laws against the luminous  pollution with new equipments replacing the old luminous equipments.
